This role involves developing manufacturing methods to produce parts that consistently meet or exceed customer requirements. The focus is on continuous improvement of processes by enhancing current methods and developing new manufacturing techniques, leading to increased yields and reduced labor content.
Responsibilities:
+ Conceive, evaluate, and implement formal problem-solving activities, cost reduction initiatives, and part/process improvement activities.
+ Provide general technical support by collecting data and supporting manufacturing needs.
+ Prepare quotations by developing material, scrap, and labor costs for cost modeling.
+ Provide input based on customer specifications for BOM, routings, and milestone plans. Offer manufacturing support fixtures and dies.
