Job Description
The Material Handler safely loads, unloads, and moves materials within a large, modern warehouse using forklifts and related equipment. This role focuses on staging materials for the shear department, supporting saw operators, and maintaining accurate inventory flow while upholding high standards of safety, quality, and organization.
Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse using a forklift or side loader in a safe and efficient manner.
- Read and interpret work orders to determine which materials need to be moved, and prioritize tasks based on due dates and production requirements.
- Take material from storage racks and stage it accurately in the shear department for saw operators, ensuring the correct material is available when needed.
