Mechanical Design Engineer (Motion System)

Job Responsibilities: • Develop and optimize high-precision motion control systems for semiconductor R&D equipment, ensuring superior motion accuracy and performance. • Conduct tolerance stack-up analysis and apply GD&T principles to achieve precise mechanical alignment. • Select electromechanical components based on product requirements, application needs, and customer specifications for optimal system performance. • Model kinematic and dynamic behavior using MATLAB, Simulink, and Adams to predict system motion characteristics and validate design decisions. • Verify designs through prototyping, motion profiling, and performance testing—including repeatability, backlash, and hysteresis—supported by FEA analysis. • Prepare BOMs, schematics, test procedures, and installation manuals, and collaborate with cross-functional teams for assembly, wiring, motion tuning, troubleshooting, and technology improvement.
