AECOM Buildings + Places is seeking a motivated and skilled Mechanical Engineer to lead building projects (commercial, institutional, light industrial facilities). This position is based out of the Markham/Thornhill office with opportunities for hybrid work. Some travel to nearby cities may be required. The role offers opportunities for career growth and is newly created.
Major Responsibilities
- Mechanical Project Lead responsible for design and construction administration.
- Independently performs all tasks necessary to complete primary design at the early stages of the project and develops the concept to high quality detailed design, coordinating with all disciplines.
- Designs HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection and Controls systems.
- Performs HVAC calculations and analysis using industry programs (Carrier HAP).
