Mechanical Testing Laboratory Technician

Ongoing contract to characterize the performance of energetic materials for the Department of Defence's guided weapons research project.

Initially the contract runs until 30th June, after that Government decides whether they would like to extend the project for another 12 months (This is standard policy for all of our Defence contracts). We are in the 2nd offered extension for this project.

• Requires experience working with energetic material and Australian Citizenship essential (for security clearances)

The Role...As a laboratory technician you will undertake the following
1. Mechanical and performance characterization of energetic materials; including mechanical property assessment, burn rate determination and physical properties.
