Job Overview

The A/C Maintenance Engineer (Competent Person) at Mitie is responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, repairs and inspections of air conditioning systems across multiple sites, ensuring compliance with F‑gas regulations and all relevant standards.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults in HVAC systems.
• Perform refrigerant leak testing, recovery and all required compliance documentation.
• Work in line with health and safety procedures and report risks or issues promptly.
• Liaise effectively with clients, customers and contractors.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and support the wider team.

Qualifications and Experience

• Level 3 Diploma and relevant NVQ certifications in refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump systems.
• F‑gas Category 1 certification.
