Job Description
Become the Control Engineer at our Dartmouth Way Site in Leeds, focusing on maintaining and troubleshooting diverse control systems. This role operates on a rotating shift schedule from 6 am to 10 pm, Monday to Friday.
As a critical member of the engineering team, you will oversee the maintenance and future-proofing of control systems and automation hardware. Your expertise will ensure the resilience of production lines, especially with complex integrations and legacy systems. This position also requires management of over 60 PLCs from various manufacturers, enhancing operational reliability across shifts.
Key Responsibilities: • Maintain and back up 60+ PLCs and 50 HMI screens • Oversee 70+ control components including inverters and Ethernet controllers • Manage obsolescence by sourcing rare parts • Utilize 25+ software packages for hardware interfacing • Audit new equipment for component compliance
