Position Summary

The National Operations and Control Engineer is responsible for the effective and efficient operation and dispatch of the generation assets of the plant to maximize energy generation and avoid resource loss, and to safely manage the transitions for plant and systems between Operational and Safe-to-Maintain states of all plants in the Hedcor group and other RE plants (ROR, Wind & Solar).

Key Responsibilities

• Ensures that the plant is optimally dispatched and maximizes the generation from the resources available while preventing loss that could otherwise be used for generation of all plants in the Luzon and Mindanao Grid and other RE plants (ROR, Wind & Solar)
• Manages the operating activities of the Waterguards to ensure that the intakes are managed and water delivery is maximized.
