Occasional Teachers

Now recruiting for the 2026/2027 School Year! Qualified Occasional Teachers for daily supply across all schools in BGCDSB. Long‑term occasional opportunities may be available for application once accepted to our Occasional Teachers’ Roster.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Valid Certificate of Registration for Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) including Transitional Certificates.
  • Applications will also be accepted where OCT Certificate is pending with completed Bachelor of Education or equivalent.
• Qualifications in at least two of Primary, Junior, Intermediate and Senior divisions.
• Qualifications in Special Education and/or Religious Education (asset).
• A Vulnerable Sector Check valid within six months from date of hire is a condition of hire with the Board.
