- Manage, plan and coordinate work according to approved programmes and procedures (Company procedures, best practices and local regulations such as Norsok & OLF)
- Verify that activities safeguard the health, safety and integrity of all personnel
- Ensure drilling and completion operations are carried out safely, in accordance with good oilfield practice, Company standards and HSEQ procedures
- Initiate process for MOV / Deviation when required
- Report all accidents or potential hazard situations
- Supervise and monitor work performed by rig and service personnel during day and night shifts
- Ensure sufficient supervision during all critical operations
- Chair daily meetings among rig and service company senior personnel
- Prepare and issue detailed drilling instructions to senior rig and service company personnel
