Operations manager: plant

PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To manage the plant and the production team according to safety standards to attain production targets.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: Chemical Engineering/Metallurgy Degree or NQF 7 Equivalent Minimum 5 years Metallurgical/Platinum/ Plant experience is essential 3-5 years Managerial position in a Processing plant environment is desirable

COMPETENCIES: Processes: Crushing, Milling, Floatation & Thickener Operations. Metallurgical Data Interpretation Extractive and Pyro knowledge Safety Principles and Knowledge of the MHSA Environmental Knowledge And associated legislation. MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Projects)

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: Ensures production targets are met according to plan. Manages and develops staff responsible for production activities.
