Optoelectronics ODM engineering manager

Summary

/Objective The engineering manager owns design, development, and product release of optical transceivers using Outside Design and Manufacturing partners.This person will develop product specifications and define an engineering team to execute the New Product Development project.They will partner with the ODM supplier’s engineering project manager, approving the assignment of people, delivering the product specification, validation, and qualification requirements - and managing the NPD process.Candidates will be steeped in product development, optical transceiver product technology, and manufacturing.Essential Functions/ Responsibilities.

Lead the end-to-end development process for optoelectronic assemblies such as optical communication transceivers, from concept and prototyping to production and market release.

Collaborate with Samtec marketing, engineering, sourcing, manufacturing, and quality to define product specifications, plans, and budgets.
