Job Overview
Optometrist – Part‑time permanent role with Asda Opticians, Washington. Shift: Days, 8 hrs per week. Competitive salary plus benefits.
Responsibilities
- Complete eye examinations, contact lens, and extended service examinations.
- Work alongside the Dispensing Optician Manager to provide training, coaching and maintain departmental standards.
- Deliver NHS extended services and support additional accreditations as needed.
- Support professional development and CPD programmes.
- Optionally supervise GOC‑registered students.
Qualifications
- Fully qualified optometrist, registered with the GOC.
- Registered performer with an NHS area team or health board MEC/WEC accredited (or willing to gain accreditation within 12 months – funded).
- On track to meet statutory CPD points requirement.
- Evidence of right to work and membership on the NHS performer list.
