Job Description
Provide essential mental health crisis support with the Kamloops Aboriginal Friendship Society as a Mobile Peer Support Worker. This role emphasizes cultural competence and holistic care in crisis situations.
As part of KAFS's Crisis Response program, this position focuses on delivering compassionate, culturally informed crisis intervention. Candidates should have relevant lived experiences and are motivated to support marginalized individuals by facilitating recovery-oriented care and community resource access. Training and development opportunities are provided to enhance skill sets.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver alternatives to traditional police responses
• Assess and intervene in crisis situations effectively
• Develop support plans addressing client needs
