Job Description
The Registered Pharmacy Technician works as a member of the organizational team, collaborating in the patient-centred approach and a unique complement of services supporting the distribution and provision of complex drug therapies, whereby we support the patient through the dispensing of their specialty medications and coordination of their care.
The Registered Pharmacy Technician provides care within their scope of practice, competency, and experience within their province or territory of practice. Each individual Registered Pharmacy Technician is responsible for ensuring accreditation as a Registered Pharmacy Technician in good standing and in adherence to the Standards of Practice with the Provincial Pharmacy Board.
The scope of this role includes checking, filling, and billing prescriptions, serving as a liaison with patients, doctors, programs, program coordinators, and drug plan representatives, and inventory management.
