Job Description
We are seeking an experienced PostgreSQL DBA with strong SQL Server background to support database operations and lead SQL Server to PostgreSQL migration initiatives. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, SQL Server, AWS migration tools, and cloud database environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administration and operational support for PostgreSQL and SQL Server databases
- Perform analysis of existing SQL Server databases and design migration strategies to PostgreSQL
- Execute database migrations using AWS Schema Conversion Tool (SCT) and AWS DMS
- Manually convert schemas, stored procedures, and objects from SQL Server to PostgreSQL when required
- Support SSRS reporting features and related tools in cloud environments
- Work with AWS RDS for PostgreSQL deployments and maintenance
