Principal Applications Software Engineer

Responsibilities

MaxLinear is seeking an experienced Principal Applications Software Engineer for the Wired Connectivity Applications Engineering team. The candidate must have extensive knowledge of firmware development for embedded systems, networking L2/L3 protocols, and Linux embedded system BSPs. In this role, you will bring technical expertise, interpersonal and communication skills, and work on a deep technical level. You will also interact with Field Application Engineers, customers, and R&D while focusing on the following:

• Expert on Linux and RTOS system integration, porting, and software package usage
• Understanding of Networking L2/3/4 protocols or maintenance experience based on embedded system SoC platforms
• Able to perform switch or Ethernet software package customization and modify BSP to fulfill different system specification requirements
