Direct Sourcing & Should-Cost Lead
This role is for a very specific kind of person.
Someone who has bought direct materials for a manufacturer - lived through RFQs, supplier follow-ups, techno-commercial comparisons, negotiations, delays, and endless spreadsheets.
And someone who, somewhere along the way, stopped accepting supplier quotes at face value and started asking:
what should this part actually cost?
Someone who has cracked open a drawing, a BOM, or a process route and built the number up from material, process, cycle time, machine hours and overhead - and then walked into a negotiation knowing they were right.
