About the job: Purchasing Supervisor. Plan, select and source channel materials, tools and/or equipment and services for sale in chain stores so that the business unit secures the least cost with maximum service and support from its suppliers (including technical and marketing support).

Responsibilities

• Understand customer demand (price, quality and availability); conduct market and price surveys; analyze sales trends, buying patterns, price movements, product introductions/innovations; respond to changes in demand as part of planning and selecting product assortment.
• Initiate and implement development and sourcing of house brands or specialty brands to differentiate the store7s offering and enhance profitability.
