Job Description
We’re looking for a versatile engineer to join our client team, taking end-to-end ownership of a data-model platform and public-facing APIs. Your mission will be to design scalable data architectures, integrate statistical models directly with the database layer, and deliver high-performance, secure API services.
What you will do
- Design and version PostgreSQL / ArcticDB schemas for raw, intermediate and final model data.
- Integrate statistical models directly into the database layer using psycopg2, SQLAlchemy or ArcticDB native APIs.
- Build and maintain secure, high-performance FastAPI/REST APIs.
- Develop internal Python libraries to streamline interaction with internal and external databases.
- Optimise database performance: query tuning, indexing, partitioning, monitoring and alerting.
