Job Description
A leading buy-side investment firm is hiring a Python Developer to take ownership of production risk analytics platforms supporting live trading and portfolio management.
This is a hands-on engineering role with responsibility for risk data pipelines, backend architecture, and operational stability.
Key responsibilities
Own and run mission-critical risk analytics systems used in a live trading environment
Design and maintain production-grade Python services and data pipelines
Build scalable backend architecture supporting batch and near–real-time risk calculations
Ensure high standards around code quality, testing, monitoring, and reliability
Act as an escalation point for production issues and drive long-term platform improvements
Requirements
4-10 years of experience
Strong Python experience in production systems
Advanced SQL and solid data modelling skills
Experience supporting risk, trading, or analytics platforms
