RECREATION ASSISTANT (LIFEGUARD)

Summary About the position: This position is a Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) Regular Part Time position located at the Ft Eustis Aquatics Center on Joint Base Langley-Eustis VA - Ft Eustis location. RPT positions are guaranteed 20 hours but can work 0-40 hours per week. This position may be subject to holidays, nights, weekends and on-call work. This government establishment requires a REAL ID compliant identification for base access Responsibilities Performs life guarding duties and limited management functions. Directs the operation of the pool and the work of assigned lifeguards. Ensures the safe operation of the pool, its filtration system, water balance, pool chemistry and performs water test. Responsible for life guarding guest in attendance at the assigned aquatics facility. Rescues swimmers and administers first aid as required. Ensures that safety rules are followed.
