Job Description
Extendicare is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for part-time work in long-term care facilities. Engage directly with residents, ensuring safe and compassionate medication administration and overall care.
As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for up-to-date care assessments and coordinating resident care plans in partnership with interdisciplinary teams. Your role is vital in responding to medical emergencies and facilitating effective communication between residents and their families. Ensure that high standards are met by supervising care provided by unregulated providers and nursing students.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure timely and thorough resident care assessments
• Oversee care conferences and delegate nursing tasks
• Administer and safeguard medications properly
• Support resident education and self-care practices
• Respond to changes in residents’ health conditions
Requirements:
• Valid Registered Nurse license in the applicable area
