Somali Telephone/Video Interpreter (Freelance, Remote)
As a freelance interpreter, you’ll support non‑English speakers by providing accurate and professional interpreting services via telephone and video. You’ll help bridge communication gaps in essential settings such as healthcare, legal, and public services.
Responsibilities
- Interpret live conversations between clients and limited English speakers.
- Support communication in medical, legal, social services, and public sector settings.
- Ensure accurate, confidential, and culturally sensitive interpretation.
- Use the interpreting app to manage availability and assignments.
- Deliver excellent service that empowers people to access vital services.
Qualifications
- Fluency in Somali and English.
- Strong communication and listening skills.
- Right to work in the United States (if applicable).
