RF Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineer

Summary

/Objective: The Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineer will work both independently and collaboratively to design and develop Automation, Manual Tooling, and/or Fixtures projects through Non-Released manufacturing and then through integration into production while also providing sustaining engineering support for existing RF connector and cable assembly operations.Essential Functions/ Responsibilities:

Using CAD software (Solidworks), Design all mechanical elements of either manual, semi-automatic or fully automatic tooling and equipment used for volume RF connector assembly and cable assembly solder fixturing in Samtec’s assembly processes.

Communicate in a collaborative environment to provide mechanical design support for the design needs of internal customers.

Validate that Product Quality and Process Reliability are designed into all projects through project qualifications.
