Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervises shipboard rigging as well as loft rigging, assembling of docking cradle and assist Dock Master during docking and undocking preparation.
- Prepare and supervise load lifting and shifting.
- Conducts inspection of all rigging gears such as wire rope, lifting belt, chain hoist, shackle and wire hoist.
- Supervise fabrication of safety nets, lifting wire, mooring ropes and belts.
- Coordinate status of rigging job to higher authority.
- Analyze blue print lifting operation.
- Supervises the day to day work operation of 3 to 4 subordinates first line supervisors and through them a working force of 20-45 semi skilled and skilled position performing line work normally assigned to the subordinate components.
- Coordinates with immediate supervisors and docking officer during actual docking and undocking of ships.
