The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by ensuring that the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees while adhering to the highest standards of patient and employee safety.
Responsibilities
- Perform a nursing assessment on all patients within 8 hours of admission to create an individualized plan of care.
- Identify patient teaching needs and goals based on nursing assessments and collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
- Provide timely patient information and status updates for team conferences and ensure accurate documentation of all assessments and interventions.
- Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and apply the nursing process effectively to achieve quality outcomes.
