Reports To
- Onshore HSSE Engineer (functionally). Day-to-day reporting to the Offshore Installation Manager (OIM)
Background
- The Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring the health, safety and environmental compliance of offshore operations. The function is responsible for implementing HSSE policies, procedures, and programs, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards, and managing the day-to-day HSE activities on offshore facilities. As Safety Officer, the incumbent will set exemplary standards in HSE Management, often with a proven track‑record on major projects and/or Offshore Operations (ideally both).
Authority
- The Safety Officer has the authority to monitor, implement and regulate safe work practices onboard. Delegates to competent personnel for certain tasks as appropriate.
Immediate Subordinates
- Assistant Safety Officer, Visitors, Vendors.
