About the role
Position: SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Godalming, Surrey
Type: Full-time, Monday – Friday (08:00–15:30)
Salary: Paid to scale
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small‑group support to SEND pupils, adapting activities to meet individual learning goals.
- Assist the teacher in implementing personalised education plans (PEPs) and behaviour strategies.
- Monitor and record pupil progress, communicating observations to the SENCO and parents.
- Facilitate social and life‑skills development, encouraging independence and confidence.
- Maintain a safe, positive classroom environment and uphold safeguarding policies.
- Contribute to team meetings, staff development sessions and collaborative planning.
