Lead backend systems development at Confluent as a Senior Backend Engineer. Deliver scalable Stream Governance solutions in a cloud-native environment while guiding a high-performing team.
In this role, you will take ownership of critical backend systems within Confluent's data streaming platform. Your responsibilities will include the design, architecture, and implementation of robust, cloud-native services. With a focus on security, availability, and scalability, you will influence architecture decisions and mentor fellow engineers for technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop the cloud-native Stream Governance platform
• Lead design and implementation of backend services
• Drive projects from requirements through rollout
• Make key architecture and technical decisions
• Solve complex technical challenges and mentor peers
Requirements:
• 4 years working with backend systems in production
• Proficiency in at least one major backend language
