Job Description
Role Summary:
The Data Acquisition & Automation Engineer supports the Data function by discovering, qualifying, and implementing data sources, enrichment methods, and automation opportunities that improve data quality, coverage, and scalability.
The role focuses on research, technical execution, and continuous improvement of data sourcing and enrichment workflows, working closely with the Head of Data to translate approved initiatives into reliable, scalable solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Source Discovery & Qualification
Identify new data sources, including paid databases, public data, APIs, and unconventional sources
Evaluate data sources for relevance, signal quality, freshness, and usability
Qualify incomplete, unstructured, or noisy data and propose approaches to make it usable
Share structured assessments and recommendations with the Head of Data
Data Harvesting & Integration
Integrate approved data sources into internal systems and workflows
