Job Description
Become a Shift Engineer at Kruger in Kamloops, focusing on safety and performance. Lead a dedicated crew in the pulp and paper industry while meeting critical operational objectives.
As a pivotal member of the Power & Recovery team, you will ensure the health and safety of your crew while coordinating day-to-day operations in the steam plant. Your leadership will guide supervising roles, compliance, and effective communications with various departments, enhancing overall mill efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee health and safety training and compliance initiatives
• Supervise steam plant operating personnel
• Manage crew performance, offering coaching and mentorship
• Facilitate continuous improvement in operational practices
• Act as Incident Commander during major emergencies
Requirements:
• Valid Inter-Provincial 2nd Class Power Engineering Certificate
• Kraft/Pulp Mill experience preferred
• Proven supervisory and safety performance record
