Job Description
Join the Data Plane team as a Software Development Engineer, focused on optimizing ElastiCache's core in-memory database engine. This role requires strong C/C++ skills for building high-performance storage systems.
You will be responsible for designing and constructing the next-generation in-memory database engine that delivers exceptional performance for demanding applications. In this role, you will contribute through performance engineering, optimizing data structures, and implementing advanced query capabilities. Collaboration is key as you work with peers to troubleshoot and improve system reliability while mentoring fellow engineers in best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and develop high-performance in-memory database engines
• Optimize durability layers with transaction logging and snapshotting
• Create advanced query capabilities including vector search
• Drive systems-level performance engineering and optimizations
