About the Position
The Solutions Engineer responds to the customer RFP (Request for Proposal) with an effective logistics solution by drawing upon data analytics, industrial engineering, design engineering, an understanding of IT WMS (Warehouse Management System) functionality, knowledge of Operations, and the ability to present/correspond directly to the Customer effectively and succinctly.
Functions
· Select the best methods to store the customers product safely and efficiently
· Estimate the square feet needed for real estate to start a search for a building with the correct ceiling height.
· Industrial Engineering: process mapping, value stream mapping, process design, space planning and layout design (using CAD), index and scope creep measurement, and inventory & slotting assessments.
· Create warehousing workflows and process on how to receive, pick, pack and ship customer goods based on the requirements
