Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)

<p>The Speech Language Pathologist partners with residents and other care providers to provide Speech Language Pathology services to maximize their function and independence in their daily activities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Supports and promotes the mission and values of Covenant Health Ministry. Performs evaluative and therapeutic procedures under the order of a physician or other accepted healthcare provider while observing precautions, indications, and contraindications. Provides evaluation and treatment in the areas of communication disorders and dysphagia, including modified barium swallow. Evaluate residents per department protocols and establish a therapeutic plan of care that includes functional long- and short-term goals. Frequency and duration of treatment are specified in addition to rehabilitation potential. Seeks input from the residents and primary caregivers regarding the therapeutic plan of care.
