Job Description
Inventory management: Maintain inventory records, perform physical inventory, and ensure hazardous materials are stored safely Ordering: Select suppliers, make purchases, and prepare purchase orders Receiving: Receive and unload freight, and ensure materials are received as per rules Storage: Store items in an orderly and accessible manner, and determine proper floor and shelf location for supplies Distribution: Issue supplies and fill requisitions, and deliver supplies to work areas Shipping: Arrange for incoming shipments, and process outgoing shipments Record keeping: Maintain accurate manual and computer records, including purchase orders, invoices, and packing slips Safety: Ensure the safe and efficient operation of material handling equipment, and implement methods to manage time and temperature sensitive cargo
