Summer Student - Biomedical Engineering Technologist's Helper

Position Overview

This position is designated to provide assistance to Biomedical Engineering Technologists in the performance of their duties, and to expose and familiarize students currently enrolled in a recognized Electronic Technologist program (Biomedical Engineering Diploma Program preferred) to medical equipment, to the hospital environment, and to the procedures and activities of a Biomedical Engineering Department.

Under the direct supervision of the Lab Manager or Biomedical Engineering Technologists, the incumbent may be responsible for the performance assurance (performance verification, preventive maintenance, and safety testing) of a variety of medical equipment and accessories, as well as other technical and support work that enables the Biomedical Engineering Department to carry out its mandate.
