Job Summary
Under supervision of the Environmental Operations Superintendent, this position supervises operations at the Saskatoon Regional Waste Management Centre (Landfill).
Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervises, trains, organizes, directs and evaluates all staff related to the landfill and related operations.
- Ensures efficient use of staff, equipment and materials through planning, scheduling, and coordination with the Operations Superintendent.
- On-site supervision and inspection of fieldwork to ensure quality control of the work and adherence to established safety and environmental procedures and standards.
- Completes daily field inspections to ensure that work is carried out in accordance with standard methods and procedures, including ensuring daily maintenance is carried out on all equipment and daily cover is placed on active face at the completion of each working day.
