Job Description

The position will be responsible for the ongoing service and support of UNIX servers and their associated equipment, storage and backup solutions, along with potential for involvement in key deployment projects related to the platform.
 SCOPE OF WORK  Assigned Responsibilities 
 The position will report directly to the IST Specialist (Computer Center Administration), of the Office of Information Systems and Technology (OIST). The primary tasks and activities of the position are: Work in the Unix team as a system administrator, providing 2nd level UNIX system support.

Works effectively to escalate/resolve issues using agreed processes.

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.

Follows IT governance processes used in the company (ie. executes Change Requests, Incident Management)

Install, set-up, and maintain Unix/Linux enterprise systems and related equipment.
