Job Title: Mircrotunnel Boring Machine Operator
Department: Project Execution
Reporting to: Site Supervisor
Job Purpose and Objectives
The Operator is responsible for the safe, technical, and economical operation of the tunnel boring machine, through the control container, to ensure project is executed within the approved schedule and according to project parameters.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
+ Operate the tunnel boring machine according to provided tunnelling parameters from the client and react to changes in formation as required within these parameters
+ Monitor line and grade and operate machine accordingly to ensure alignment remains within tolerances described in project plans and specifications
+ Actively participate in MTBM system assembly and disassembly during mobilization and demobilization periods – providing technical support (tests and analyses of the machines)
