Technician, Mill Operations (Smithers)

The Opportunity

The Technician, Mill Operations is a key member of the processing team, responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the crushing and milling complex. This role is responsible for operating and monitoring various mill circuits, supporting production targets, and contributing to continuous improvement through training, mentoring, and adherence to company policies and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the operational integrity of all areas in the mill to achieve safety, environmental, quality, cost, and production targets
• Operate and monitor various circuits in the processing plant as required by the supervisor, including:
  • Grinding
  • Crushing
  • Tailings
  • Reagent Mixing
  • Concentrate Dewatering
• Actively participate in mentoring and training others
• Understand and comply with all company policies and procedures
