Position Purpose
Prepare Tooling designs for the Rolling Mills and Assembly departments and support Manufacturing with Corrective Actions and Continuous Improvement.
Essential Functions
- Prepare tooling designs as required for the New Product Schedule.
- Incorporate quick change features as appropriate.
- Produce detail tooling drawings.
- Meet deadlines as specified.
- Assist with the manufacture of tooling as appropriate.
- Supervise first use to ensure appropriate shapes, installation and efficient use.
- Coordinate and ensure acceptable rework if necessary.
- Design and develop efficient tooling for the Rolling Mills and Production Assembly.
- Incorporate standardization and quick-change methods whenever appropriate.
- Document and catalogue all tooling lists for set-up and control purposes.
