Train with the Non-Religious Pastoral Support Network

Join us in changing the landscape of pastoral care for non-religious individuals. We have an incredible volunteer team driving change in chaplaincy and pastoral care across the UK, and we would love to provide pastoral support to more non-religious people in need.

Commitment: You’ll need to be able to commit at least half a day a week to volunteering. Tenacity, confidence, and interpersonal skills are essential to work effectively with religious colleagues.

Training: We run weekend induction/training courses to give you insight into non-religious pastoral care practices in various environments such as prisons, healthcare, and education. Role plays and practice pastoral care sessions will help you demonstrate your capability in providing this support. Successful trainees will be accredited to the Non-Religious Pastoral Support Network .
