Responsibilities
- Assign and dispatch loads to company drivers and owner-operators
- Plan and optimize routes for timely, cost-efficient deliveries
- Communicate continuously with drivers via phone, email, or GPS systems
- Track shipments and provide real-time updates to customers and brokers
- Manage delays, breakdowns, and route changes promptly and effectively
- Negotiate freight rates with brokers where applicable
