Overview
A waiter (or server) is responsible for providing excellent customer service in a restaurant, café, or similar dining establishment. Their primary duties include taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guests have a pleasant dining experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and present menus.
- Take accurate food and drink orders and relay them to the kitchen/bar.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and correctly.
- Check in with customers to ensure satisfaction and handle any issues.
- Clear tables, reset them for new guests, and maintain cleanliness.
- Process bills and handle payments.
- Assist with opening and closing duties.
- Follow health and safety regulations.
