Shopify Developer - Ecommerce Site Build (Contract)
The site is for an early‑stage consumer brand launching their first online store and looking for a Full Stack Shopify Developer to design and build the ecommerce site from the ground up. This is a project‑based engagement with a transparent scope: deliver a launch‑ready storefront.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop a custom Shopify theme from scratch
- Build a mobile‑first, visually polished storefront with smooth interactions
- Deliver a unique, on‑brand shopping experience end‑to‑end
- Integrate essential apps: reviews, email/SMS, subscriptions, loyalty, analytics, and shipping
- Optimize site speed and SEO for organic growth
- Build a high‑converting product page with smart upsells and cross‑sells
- Set up checkout, payments, and tax/shipping logic for Canadian and US customers
