Job Description
The suitable candidate will be able to perform the following duties:
- Provide liaison and advocacy with community members and front-line workers
- Provide individual, family and group addiction counselling and brief intervention
- By identifying community members strengths and skills to teach culturally relevant materials to other community members on request of services basis
- Assisting in debriefing sessions, community recovery and wellness initiatives
- Reviving the practice of using Elders to pass on their traditional teachings to children and youth
- Educate youth on the harms associated with drug and alcohol use
- Provide programming for healthy living, harm reduction and recovery to clients
- On call rotation
