Holmen Board and Paper is a Swedish company and a member of the Holmen Group. The Workington Mill produces premium paperboard under the brand Incada. The mill, located to the west of the beautiful Lake District in the north of England, has been powered almost entirely by fossil fuel free energy since 2013. The integrated pulp and paperboard mill employs around 340 co-workers.
Your Future Challenge
We are looking for a hardworking, dedicated plant operator to join our small Woodyard team. It is essential that the successful candidate is self‑motivated, can operate as part of a team, and work well alone when required.
Woodyard Operator (working on a double day rota)
The function of the Woodyard is to provide fuel and fibre to the CHP plant and pulp mill. Specifically, you will operate woodyard vehicles to transport logs and chipped material, operate computerised systems to control the processes and apply plant isolations/issue permits of work.
